The GC-2 is a limiting amplifier and compressor pedal that works just as well with other instruments as it does with guitars! The pedal utilizes the same technology found in Keeley Electronics's Bassist Limiting Amplifier to impart a characteristically transparent compression onto any signal lucky enough to traverse its circuitry.

Like the BLA, the GC-2 is constructed around the THAT Corp. 4320. The result is an inherently musical compressor with a robust frequency range that is compact enough to merit inclusion in any pedalboard. The pedal’s internal components consist of pristine Voltage Controlled Amplifiers, a true-RMS detector, and powerful op-amps—all of which ensure the highest quality performance possible.

Unlike Keeley’s previous compressor pedals, which were based on the CA3080 or LM13700, the GC-2 is specifically oriented towards a transparent, low noise performance. It is capable of processing excessively weighty signals while maintaining an astonishing bandwidth of over 20kHz!
