Jomox Mod.Brane 11

The Jomox Mod.Brane 11 was inspired by the physical means drum heads are used to produce sound. More specifically, the manner in which two vibrating layers interrelate through the union of pressure waves. It utilizes two interactive 2-pole filters that can relate to one another through two distinct coupling parameters. In Jomoxspeak, coupling is a merger of mixing and frequency modulation. The first mode performs this operation linearly while the second mode does so inversely.

There’s also a dual noise generator that emits two different types of noise: traditional white, a unique multi-tonal noise, or a mix of the two. This can be used in tandem with the Mod.Brane’s decay envelope for the creation of percussive and cymbal-esque tones.

If all this wasn’t enough, the Mod.Brane’s LFO section governs the tuning of both filters, with all parameters being storable via MIDI. For even more versatility, each module can be manipulated via CV, Gate, and trigger signals. This means drummers can also use the synthesizer with drum pads.
