Jackson Audio FUZZ

If you've ever wanted a fuzz pedal but can't commit to a single flavor of classic fuzz, look no further than FUZZ, the Modular Fuzz pedal by Jackson Audio featuring swappable analog plug-in modules. This is the perfect solution for anyone in need of a flexible fuzz pedal in a compact package. When the time comes that you want to try a different fuzz, simply open up FUZZ and easily swap the circuit modules in the back.

FUZZ ships with two modules to get you started: Modern Fuzz, and Fuzz Classic/Vintage. The former is versatile, easily capable of crushing gain but cleans up with rolled-back input volume, while the latter is a spin on the iconic Fuzz Face circuit. Of course, there are even more available, including takes on the Big Muff and other heavy hitters in the world of fuzz.

One of the nicest features of FUZZ is the inclusion of a three-band parametric EQ, offering levels of tonal sculpting previously unavailable on classic fuzzes. On the top of the pedal, you'll find 20dB boost/cut controls for the Bass, Middle, and Treble bands, plus a sweepable Mid Frequency control. Inside the pedal, beneath the swappable modules, are trimmer pots to dial in the Treble and Bass Frequencies, plus Q settings for all three bands. Fuzzes are traditionally very fixed in their character, so this addition by Jackson Audio is surely a dream come true for the tone chasers out there.

There's also a flexible Octave Up circuit included in FUZZ, extending the vocabulary of iconic fuzzes even further. With the octave dialed down, this circuit also behaves like a boost, unlocking Tone Bender-type tones when paired with any fuzz. Jackson Audio's FUZZ is nothing short of a comprehensive retrospective on iconic fuzz circuits—choose your favorite module and dial in your own sonic legacy.
