Blossom is Jackson Audio's take on the optical compressor design, excelling at smoothly and subtly shaping dynamics but also has no issue working harder at more extreme settings. At its simplest settings, the relationship between Comp and Volume allow you to dial in the amount of desired compression and compensate for any increases or decreases in level. But to go a step further, use the Mix control to blend in dry signal for parallel compression sounds, or the EQ to emphasize higher or lower frequencies.
