Designed for Drew Shirley of Switchfoot, Belle Starr is a smooth, mid-gain overdrive pedal with amp-like characteristics to make your rig sing like never before. This pedal contains a unique MOSFET transistor clipping circuit, which affords the amp-style drive that Shirley and Jackson Audio were seeking. Belle Starr is a pedal that shines in low to medium-gain applications, and works wonders in stacked configurations.

Belle Starr keeps things straightforward with four simple but powerful controls: Volume, Gain, Body, and Tone. Gain and Volume interact with each other to define Belle Starr's drive character—run Gain low, and Volume behaves as a boost, or dial in Gain to achieve anything from clean to light crunch and amp-like breakup. Body is an active low-frequency EQ control, boosting or cutting those frequencies by up to 15dB. Finally, Tone is a traditional passive control that rolls off the high-end harmonics for rounding brighter or harsh sounds. Bring Belle Starr into your rig and add some subtle heat to your tones.
