IK Multimedia ARC Studio
Take the guesswork out of studio soundproofing with the ARC Studio from IK Multimedia, a speaker correction system that adjusts the audio sent to your speakers so your acoustic imperfections are virtually negated. Professional soundproofing is something that is often reserved for dedicated studios due to the intense alteration that must occur to the walls and ceiling. Unsuitable for rental spaces, this often results in the bare minimum of acoustic treatment and you learn to work with your room's imperfections. IK Multimedia has fixed this issue with the ARC Studio, a combination of their bespoke software that works with their (included) flat reference microphone which imprints a tonal blueprint of your space to a dedicated unit that lives between you audio interface and studio monitors.
Using IK's AKM Velvet Sound AD/DA converters, the ARC Studio box provides transparent audiophile sound quality that invisibly corrects the sound before it heads to your monitors. Two XLR inputs and outputs provide a balanced connection. ARC Studio is a standalone, meaning you don't need to add any third-party hardware to your sessions, simply take a measurement using the included microphone and the ARC 4 software takes care of the adjustments to your device. Adjust whenever you move your setup, rearrange your studio, or get new monitors. Included emulations of classic monitors are available and saved presets let you easily use the ARC Studio with multiple speaker configurations.
Studio monitors are only as good as the room they are in and with the ARC Studio from IK Multimedia, that will be any room.
