Ieaskul F. Mobenthey, the Eurorack subset of Ciat-Lonbarde products, presents Swoop, a bound/bounce function generator. Functionally speaking, Swoop is not unlike a cycling function generator in the style of Serge's Dual Universal Slope Generator. The key difference is that rather than directly changing the rise and fall times, Swoop will modify the bounds of oscillation. Imagine a ball bouncing from floor to ceiling in a shrinking room—as the room becomes smaller, the resultant frequency of bounces increases as the ball requires less distance to travel through the entire space.
The best results are achieved by patching a signal into the Bounds inputs at the top. Since both inputs default to zero, there's no room to bounce in an infinitely small space! But as soon as static or fluctuating signals are applied, oscillations will travel between the upper and lower bounds. Swoop can generate a myriad of complex voltages in positive and negative ranges, thanks to its separate trigger inputs for upwards and downwards swoops.
