A faithfully recreated, spec-for-spec carbon copy of the famous seven-band equalizer used by Motown records, the MOTORCITY EQualizer by Heritage Audio is a piece of music history reproduced—not imitated. One look at the hand-brushed aluminum faceplate with custom molded bakelite knobs and you know the passive EQ circuit design is going to give you those classic, punchy, warm tones that gave Motown records their distinctive sound. Heritage Audio went through the trouble of having the 1960's tone capacitors and inductors found in the original custom built from scratch using the exact materials, values, and tolerances.

A straight-forward, minimal front panel gives you +/-8dB in stepped, 1dB increment knobs at seven different frequency points across the spectrum: 50hz, 130hz, 320hz, 800hz, 2000hz, 5000hz, and peaking at 12,500hz. The aesthetic is authentic with the General Radio-style rotary knobs, tophat jewel light, and in/out/off toggle switch, as well as the rear panel accurately featuring just an XLR in/out with power jack. With 21 inductors and tone capacitors, this EQ does more than you would expect and gives you the tone you're looking for.
