The components used within the HA73EQX2 Elite are held to the same exacting standards as used with Heritage Audio's previous hand wired creations, but by utilizing modern manufacturing methods the cost is able to substantially lowered. The preamps provide up to 80dB of gain, and thanks to the inclusion of a JFET DI circuit, any microphone, line, or instrument source is fair game for use with this preamp. The built-in three-band EQ was given special care in the design process to accurately recreate the response of the original 1073, shaping incoming sounds with vintage flavor that still holds up today.
