The Golden Age Project Pre-73 Premier is a single-channel preamp for microphones, line level, and instrument audio sources that styles itself after the classic 1073 preamp. It offers stepped increments between 20-80dB of gain with adjustable output level and 14dB pad. Connect a variety of instruments and microphones with the combination XLR/TRS input, +48V phantom power, DI mode, and low-Z mode. A 6db/oct high pass filter comes included with a cutoff frequency of 80Hz or 200Hz for clearing out the low-end of non-bass sounds. Additionally, Golden Age's Air EQ adds either 3dB or 6dB of shelving boost at 3kHz. An unbalanced TRS insert is available on the rear of the Pre-73 Premier, allowing it to be used with external effects chains with EQs or other effects. Simple and straightforward, the Pre-73 Premier by Golden Age Project brings classic functionality in a compact package.
