Golden Age Project Pre-73 MKIII Microphone Preamp
The Golden Age Project Pre-73 MkIII is a mic preamp that delivers vintage sounds with modern design sensibilities. Inside is a signal path made up of discrete components with different styles of input and output transformers. The main input is a combination XLR/TRS jack suitable for both microphone and line-level sources, with a secondary DI input on the front for instruments. The input stage also features +48V phantom power and phase inversion. Use the insert to add effects such as an additional EQ. The internal AIR boost EQ has two modes offering 3 or 6dB of boost at 30kHz, and a switchable two position 6dB/oct high pass filter can be set for 40 or 170Hz. The selectable impedance available on the MIC mode changes between 300 or 1200 ohms and will affect the behavior of the mics you're using. The Pre-73 MkIII captures the authentic sound of classic mic preamps with a distinctive look.
