From Golden Age Project comes the D2 MkII, an updated take on their fantastic dynamic microphone that produces a punchy and full-bodied sonic profile for your recordings. Great on voice and instruments, the D2 MkII provides off-axis rejection via its stable and dependable cardioid polar pattern, making it easier to focus on the source and cancel out the rest of the room. The frequency response is quite flat with a slight bump in the upper mids to give more presence to your recordings while preserving the original source. For extra bass response in your recordings, closer positionings of the D2 MkII boost the frequency range of 75-300Hz due to the proximity effect— this is great for broadcasters looking to fill out their voice or bass players to really hit those fundamentals.

For taking out those noisy sub frequencies and muddying low-end, D2 MkII provides two bass rolloff filter switches that gently cut frequencies out, one being -3dB at 120Hz & -5dB at 50Hz and the other being -3dB at 210Hz & -10dB at 100Hz. Additional sonic sculpting includes a third switch that engages a parabolic filter centered around 5kHz for dipping up to -4dB. The internal windscreen protects your recordings from those lousy plosives, so pop filtering isn't always necessary!
