The Sampleslicer MKIII from Ginkosynthese is a stereo sampler and sample slicer that records samples in real time to create new musical material through resequencing and timestretching. The third and most powerful version of one of the best realtime sample manipulators in Eurorack, the Sampleslicer MKIII has been supercharged with a new chipset, SD card sample storage, stereo inputs and outputs, and a generous handful of new creative features. With deep sound mangling potential accessible through a fast and intuitive user interface, the Sampleslicer MKIII is a powerful addition to any sized system.

Sampling length and playback speed are set by incoming clock signals, which automatically slices sampled audio into sixteen portions. After recording, you can alter playback speed by selecting from a number of time divisions, creating glitched rhythms and melodies as your samples are stretched and compressed to fit within the new time structure. Playback of sample slices is controlled by the onboard sixteen step sequencer, with start point and play length controls. Playback samples in looping mode for infinite repeats, or in one-shot mode for wonderfully broken interruptions of other sonic material in your patch.

New to the Sampleslicer MKIII is the ability to curate sampling, playback, and sequencing on much deeper levels. The SD card functionality allows you to store and recall samples when you need to return to yesterday's happy accident. The character of playback can be adjusted with Style, and individual slices can be rewritten with the Punch-In feature. Samples can also now be played back in reverse, adding a whole new dimension to its sample-mangling toolset. Finally, stereo I/O and the ability to mix sample playback with the live input adds flexibility for live and studio use. Perfect when paired with a small system as a complimentary sound source, as a dedicated beat slicer for drum loops, or as an iterative pivot point in a large studio environment, the Sampleslicer MKIII from Ginkosynthese is a powerful and intuitive sample manipulation tool that excels in any system.
