Fairfield Circuitry Conflict Of Interest

Conflict of Interest from Fairfield Circuitry is an envelope follower and envelope generator pedal, providing an expressive source of control voltage for pedals and synth modules alike. Unlike most guitar pedals, Conflict of Interest doesn't change the sound of the signal running through it. Instead, it uses the amplitude of the input signal to generate an envelope shape that can be used to control sound parameters on another device. With multiple modes and plenty of interactive potential, Conflict of Interest adds new dimensions of performative control to any CV-capable set up.

Envelopes are created by using the amplitude of the input signal to trigger an attack/decay envelope, with sensitivity set by the Sens control. This trigger may also be sent using the manual button or gate input, with different behavior in each of three modes. Mode 1 gives you gated loop, using the gate to trigger a looping envelope or LFO. Mode 2 is a one-shot, for classic envelope operation. Mode 3 continuously loops the envelope except when interrupted by a gate, button press, or input signal movement. In each mode, the envelope level, attack time, release time, and polarity may be adjusted using the panel controls.

Interesting interactions are waiting to be unlocked within the Conflict of Interest, with each mode offering a world of performative options for your musical experimentation. Experiment with the Sens level to derive uneven and interrupted rhythms as control signals clash, or dial in direct modulation for parametric perfection. Perfect for mixed pedal and modular set ups and equally happy in isolated formats, Fairfield Circuitry's Conflict of Interest is ready to help express your next musical move - simply lead the way.
