Frederick Judd himself was a radio enthusiast, and a pioneer of British electronic music. Judd was also responsible for the popularization musique concrete in its early days as he was traveling across the country giving lectures, and demonstrating the equipment, often being accompanied by no other than Daphne Oram. This book remains an important historical document of the birth of electronic music.
