Inspired by the sound of British amps from the 60s and 70s, but rather than emulating a certain circuit, Electronic Audio Experiments decided to create their own, combining everything they loved from these tube amps. Not satisfied with just emulating the preamp, Citadel models a power amp section of a tube amp, as well. With a three-band EQ and three different gain controls, the Citadel works on a pedalboard or as a DI for ampless recording.
