Electro-Harmonix Iron Lung

The Iron Lung, from Electro-Harmonix, uses the same algorithm found in their V256 Vocoder. Likewise, the Iron Lung features a 256-band vocoder that provides a distinctly aggressive sound with ample room for manipulation. In addition to studio-quality sound, the pedal’s tonal controls allow for precise adjustments that really let users fine-tune their sound.

There’s a Gender Bender control that nudges the overall tonal orientation in the direction of either male or female. Additionally, the Tone control imparts an adjustable definition across the entire tone. In terms of connectivity, the pedal has an XLR connection and corresponding 3-position switch for achieving the perfect balance no matter what microphone is used.
