The Freeze Sound Retainer, from Electro Harmonix, lets users sustain notes and chords simply by depressing a momentary footswitch. Once the footswitch is released, the pedal snaps back into sample-ready mode. It features three selectable decay rates (Latch, Fast Decay, and Slow Decay) for ultra-creamy tonal transitions.
