Make no mistake, the Octavix’s sound is just as inherently psychedelic as its faceplate. Consequently, Electro-Harmonix’s fuzz monster mobilizes the prowess of late-1960’s octave-up fuzz while implementing distinctly modern features that uproot it from its origins and firmly place it in a modern context.

Each of the Octavix’s features have been ingeniously yolked down to three parameter knobs and a toggle switch. Parameter controls include Boost, Octave level, and output Volume. The toggle switch lets players decide what voltage level the internal power rails are operating at. If configured to 9V, the pedal produces a more traditional fuzz response, while the 24V mode achieves a much tighter, richer sound.
