The Cock Fight, from Electro-Harmonix, lets users create an array of classic tones that were previously only available as the result of combining a distortion pedal with a way pedal. Consequently, the pedal conveniently produces this sound without the need for a wah.

The unit’s internal fuzz circuit can be configured either before or after the wah effect, affording access to an array of tonal variety. The corresponding fuzz bias potentiometer imparts distinct fuzz sounds or raspy power-starved sputtering.

The wah circuit has somewhat of a dual-personality disorder: it functions as either a classic “crying” wah or a “talking” wah similar to the tones produced by a talkbox. Rounding out this robust feature-set is the ability to remotely alter the wah frequency with an expression pedal.
