The Electro-Harmonix BassBalls is comprised of two sweeping filters that keep tones under strict control of the unit’s envelope in order to achieve singular, vocal-esque sounds. There’s a Distortion switch for even richer harmonics, as well as a Response control that alters the sweep range in accordance with the player’s attack. If all this wasn’t enough, the pedal works just as well for regular guitars as it does with bass guitars.
