The Electro-Harmonix Bass Preacher is a compressor/sustainer pedal capable of handling low-end signals with particularly wide dynamic ranges. The pedal’s broad input sensitivity means it works quite well with both active and passive basses. Additionally, its makeup gain and high gain reduction allow it to operate stealthily or outrightly smash the input signal into oblivion. All of this plus three attack modes for corralling transients make the Bass Preacher a truly divine solution to harnessing unruly low-end signals.
