DSM & Humboldt presents their version of a raucous lead-tone boasting up to 30db of pre-boost gain and 20db of master gain along with a unique X-Gate switch. Incredibly responsive and perfect for more percussive passages, Black Clouds features a three-band EQ and Pre Tone tilt-shift EQ for the perfect amount of highs, lows, and everything in between. If you need to be loud, use the four volume, gain, and boost controls to truly shred. A passive noise gate switch—X-Gate—lets you easily get those short sounds without feedback at high gain. A three-way mode switch gives you normal, mid-boost, and preamp modes. Perfectly capable as a clean boost or as a howling menace, DSM's Black Clouds is perfect for when things need to be loud.
