The Doepfer A-188-1c is a 2048-stage BBD-based delay module, ideal for lush analog delay and all manner of sonic debauchery. The relatively high number of BBD stages makes this one of the most ideal candidates among the A-188-1 family for use as a typical delay; however, its internal clock and external clock input still allow for severe underclocking, taking this module from classic delay territory into seemingly downsampled, crunchy doom. A host of feedback options including polarity inversion and an external feedback loop enable experimentation with feedback processing to create novel effects unlike any typical delay.
