The A-106-5SE from Doepfer is a stylish take on the classic Oberheim SEM state variable VCF. It's perfect for clean-yet-full-sounding bass, and is capable of providing plenty of harmonic material on its own thanks to a design which does not self-oscillate. This bold sound is dutifully served by an input gainstage which provides subtle overdrive in order to achieve more aggressive sounds.
