The dbx 231s is a two-channel 31-band graphic EQ that gives hands on control over the frequency spectrum of your sounds. The EQs feature 31 bands, separated into 1/3 octave intervals with 20mm nonconductive sliders. With a selection between +/-6dB and +/-12dB of boost/cut available, the 231s offers two varieties of EQing, one subtle and another more pronounced. A 12dB/oct low cut filter is also included at a set frequency of 50Hz.

The EQ can be bypassed by front panel control, which is a great way to A/B your mixes. Inputs and outputs are available on both balanced XLR and TRS and feature +/-12dB of input gain as well as four-segment LED indication of output level. With a dynamic range of 112dB and wide frequency response of 10Hz–50kHz, the 231s outshines many similar EQs.
