Gloop brings a virtual tape studio to your system, letting you quickly record audio samples up to two minutes in length, and play them back via four independent playback heads with onboard effects. Each playback head can be adjusted to loop a smaller section of the recorded audio, changed in pitch and speed, and even reversed, enabling effortless creation of complex sound textures. For more beat-based music, a grid mode is also available, which quantizes loop position and sizes to even divisions of four, eight, or sixteen regions. Each channel also features a dedicated level control, making it easy to manage volumes quickly for impactful changes during a live performance.

Recording into Gloop is as simple as pressing the record button, and can be automated to start and stop recording with the trigger input. Once your sound is recorded and manipulated with the four playback heads, Gloop gives you a generous array of onboard effects to shape your sounds. Add spatial effects with delay and reverb, spice up sounds with the bitcrusher, and add tape-inspired effects like wow and flutter, tape saturation, and tape degradation. Leveraging the power of your modulation sources, Gloop's four CV inputs can be assigned to a vast array of modulation targets, from simple volume control and triggering, to CV control over size and position of each playback head. Sounds from any of the four heads can be selectively routed between the two outputs, letting you create a stereo mix or separate playback heads for independent processing.
