Designed with the folks at Pittsburgh Modular, Cre8audio's Capt'n Big-O is a fully analog Eurorack oscillator that's keen to set off for swashbuckling voyages on the sonic high seas. All the beloved basic waveforms are here—sine, triangle, sawtooth, and square waves deliver the quintessential analog attitude, but you'd be wrong to think this module stops there. An internal wavefolder pushes the sine wave into grittier territory by adding additional harmonics, but can be freely repatched and applied to any other waveform available on Capt'n Big-O or elsewhere in your system. If the wavefolder weren't enough, an overdrive circuit provides 75x gain to any signal, whether it belongs to Capt'n Big-O or not. All the other hallmarks of great analog designs are here: linear and exponential FM, hard sync, and PWM. Cast off with Capt'n Big-O, one of the most capable VCOs in all the seven seas.
