CME Xkey
The CME-Pro XKey 25-Key USB MIDI Music Keyboard is a rugged and inherently portable device that users can take virtually anywhere they please. Its USB bus power and plug-and-play functionality cement its usefulness, as it can be interfaced with any DAW and/or plugin for optimal control.
It features 25 notes arranged in a traditional layout across a slim aluminum chassis. Each key is routed to a velocity sensitive pressure sensor that transmits 128 levels of MIDI data, complete with polyphonic aftertouch.
A row of buttons across the side of the keyboard gives users a series of additional options: they can bend notes up to 16,000 steps, modulate various parameters, control octave shifts, and sustain notes. On top of all that, users can download the Xkey Plus iPad app in order to assign various MIDI functions to the keys, as well at perpetrate user-defined velocity curves. These settings can then be stored to the unit’s non-volatile memory for later use.
