Caroline Météore

The Météore Lo-Fi Reverb Pedal from Caroline Guitar Company is a lush and characterful reverb effect that offers anything from classic spring reverb tones to huge and dreamlike reverberations with ease. Inspired by the unique reflections generated by the glass, steel, and tile materials in the Paris Metro, Météore takes aim at dreamy ambiences, with onboard overdrive and harmonic enhancing regeneration that sparkles in any signal chain.

Under the hood, Météore implements a digital spring reverb block which emulates the rich harmonic enhancement and spacious reverberation of real springs, with a decidedly lo-fi digital edge that can be inflected with certain setting combinations. Use the Attack control to set the gain of an input drive stage, enabling extra push into the reverb for additional break-up. Size sets the initial reverb character, while Regeneration allows it to feedback, extending decay dramatically and adding overtones to your signal that can oscillate at high settings. A toggle switch inflects either dark or bright tone shaping profiles, while a dedicated level control keeps Caroline's lovingly loud designs within whatever range works best for your set-up.

Hold down the Havoc footswitch to create infinite holds, steady fades, or crushing collapses, all depending on the Size setting. Across all these controls, your original signal path remains entirely analog, while the drive and reverb effects enable huge and spacious extensions of your tone. A time-tested source for unique reverb sounds and warm spring emulations alike, Caroline's Météore is here to blast your signal chain into far-out spaces of sonic expanse.
