Behringer Model D

Inspired by the legendary Moog Model D analog synthesizer, the Model D picks up where its predecessor left off, providing economical access to modular synthesis with a formidable sound to boot. The synthesizer features a vast feature set that adeptly mobilizes its juicy analog sound. Unlike the original, this incarnation has been configured for the eurorack format. Consequently, it is much more compact and does not feature a keyboard. However, this omission is more of a strength thanks to the Model D's CV and MIDI capabilites, which allow it to play nicely with other MIDI or cv-equipped synthesizers, with the added bonus of increased portability.

Model D's semi-modular design entirely negates the need for patching, drastically increasing the ease-of-use. Sonically, it is capable of everything from fat bass pulses to smooth pads and blistering leads. It is even capable of producing simulations of traditional instruments, including brass, strings, and woodwinds. Of course, all of this is explicity malleable thanks to an ergonomic front panel interface that literally places every function at users' fingertips. With such raw power at an unbeatable price, the Model D should be a part of every synthesist's arsenal!
