Befaco Morphader

Morphader from Befaco is a performative four-channel voltage-controlled crossfader, equally suited for audio and CV usage. Each channel features two crossfade inputs with attenuators, a CV input, and an individual output. The module mixes the four channels and sums them at the channel four mix output, but plugging into any of the other individual outputs removes that channel from the mix. A master crossfader provides macro-control of all four channels with an adjustable lag to smooth out crossfading movements. An external CV source at the CV inputs disconnects that channel from the fader and puts the crossfading under external voltage control. Crossfader CV input one features normalization to the other three CV inputs. With no signal at the A/B inputs, a normalized 10V signal provides an adjustable offset based on the attenuator and crossfader position. A switch selects crossfader behavior, either linear, intended for CV, or exponential, intended for audio. Morphader offers a performative interface for macro control changes and dynamic audio adjustments that make it a powerful tool for in-studio or live performance.
