Beetronics' Zzombee is a filter pedal that offers classic wah sounds, random resonant blips, an octave below switch, and tremolo effects all with the ability to be controlled via an onboard Ramp footswitch. Don't let the simple interface fool you—this is an incredibly deep pedal for having only three knobs. By using the very clever filter routing switch, you can change what the filter is being added to or in the off position, amplitude effects are possible. The Parasite knob is a volume control for the lower octave signal and you can use the aforementioned switch to have it be filtered or clean, letting you instrument signal have a little warble or a constant depth. With a selectable gain setting, you also have a delicious bit of crunch that makes this pedal incredibly versatile.

Like other Beetronics pedals, there are several modes available to you. Using the Filter setting, you can adjust the modulation to be from the Ramp footswitch, an internal LFO, or a Mad mode, which introduces random modulation. When the filter is off and you're in Amplitude mode, you get a Ramp-triggered volume swell for either the octave or instrument signal and an X mode that modulates both Parasite and instrument signals in a way similar to a tremolo. Like their other pedals, secondary controls are accessed by long-pressing the Bypass switch and gives you another dimension to your sound. Beetronics' Zzombee is a powerhouse that is so versatile it can replace two or three pedals already on your board, or enhance what you've already got in ways that are totally unique.
