Not your average VCA, AtoV Project's cDVCA is a unique take on the essential synthesis building block that is based on class-D technology. Without diving too deep into the technical details, a class-D design turns audio into a high-frequency pulse signal beyond the threshold of human hearing, which is then fed into a rapid switching system for amplitude and then passed into a lowpass filter to remove the ultrasonic components. The result is a clean and efficient design, but cDVCA doesn't just settle for that. Perhaps the first VCA to feature a 1V/Oct input, it's possible to tune, track, and manipulate the internal oscillator frequency, imparting a special flavor of waveshaping and decimation to your audio. There's also a separate Drive control, and a post-VCA filter to tame harmonics if things get too wild. Give the cDVCA a shot, and gain functionality that you won't find in any other VCA.
