Asheville Music Tools APH-12

The APH-12 from Asheville Music Tools is a 12-stage, all analog phaser pedal with much more to offer than your standard phaser box. Based on an OTA filter chip designed by Dave Rossum, the APH-12 features 8 different stage modes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 12, each with their own beautiful characteristics. Its stage modes range from tremolo-like effects at lower settings, to dense swirling dream spaces at the higher settings. Its all analog build with low noise emphasis/de-emphasis circuitry means it produces an extremely low noise floor, ideal in studio and home-recording settings. It includes separate Sweep and Resonance controls for dialing in the perfect tone, along with LFO Rate and LFO Amount knobs for creating vibes ranging from subtle washy atmospheres, to full-on underwater chaos.

With a dedicated switch for Fast and Slow LFO speeds, in combination with the rate knob, its LFO Sweeps can get lightning fast for a ring mod-like effect, or stretch all the way up to 2 minutes per-cycle. The APH-12 also contains an Envelope Follower mode, taking its modulations out of the LFO rotation, and changing its behavior to react to the intricacies and dynamics of your playing. On top of all that, it includes a 3-way switch for selecting between mix amounts, either light mix, balanced mix or 100% wet. This gives you the ability to sculpt your tone even further, with subtle phasing to enhance the timbre of your sound, or fully-present phasing goodness. APH-12 also features an assignable Expression/CV input for controlling either Sweep, Resonance, LFO rate or LFO Amount parameters with an external expression or CV controller. If you're looking to expand your sonic palette beyond the standard phaser effect, the APH-12 from Asheville Music Tools packs an absurd amount of functionality into a beautiful and mysterious package.
