With the SGT-DI, Ampeg combines their proprietary Super Grit Technology and welcomes their first foray into IR technology, all housed in a sturdy, direct box pedal designed for bass. Taking all their experience from designing amps for bass players, Ampeg combines it all into a stage-friendly package that doesn't skimp on the features with a full three band EQ, complete with their signature Ultra Lo and Ultra Hi switches. Of course, there's the Grit: a luscious, gnarly sounding distortion circuit that makes your fish sound crunchy when it needs to, fuzzy when you want it, and will make you think you have a full stack right behind you. Switch between two voicings for the Grit: SVT and B15.

Circuits aside, the SGT-DI is loaded with a sophisticated Impulse Response (IR) algorithm that takes real-life samples of amps and cabs, loads them into your pedal, and adjusts your tone accordingly. Have the thickness of B15, the audacity of an SVT 8x10, or the sweetness of a full-range cab without having to lug any of them around. Connectivity is paramount when playing ampless, and with your main XLR out, preamp out, a headphones out, a throughput, and AUX in. Use the USB-C port to connect to their IR Loader software where you can upload your own IR files.
