ALM Busy Circuits The Turismo

Kick your modular synthesizer workflow into gear with The Turismo from ALM, a fully modular system combining a curated assortment of ALM sounds, processors, and CV sources to provide a comprehensive and limitlessly fun Eurorack experience. Outpacing many full systems in its class, The Turismo is great for creating all sorts of musical material, from rich monophonic melodies to captivating chordal sequences, incorporating analog, digital, and sample-based sound sources. An all-in-one system for patching experiments and focused studio workflows alike, The Turismo is ALMs biggest and best system yet, ready to drive you across the finish line and into new territories of musical creativity.

While the modulation and sequencing capabilities of a system generally govern the how and why of modular workflows, the sound sources of any system will determine the majority of the instrument's sound. Here, ALM has covered all bases, with multiple sources representing a wide range of electronic music techniques. Plenty of analog richness and warmth spills readily out of TAZM-O, an analog through-zero oscillator offering a strong starting point for any synth patch. Enjoy the character-rich digital pizzazz of Cizzle, a Casio CZ-series inspired phase distortion voice with the ability to create chords, rave ready stabs, and peculiar percussion tones with ease. Tap your toes along to a full drum kit of malleable samples with the ineffable Squid Salmple, an 8-channel sample player and real-time audio manipulator, useful for all sorts of sample-based sonic pursuits. Sculpt sounds with the stereo filter in MCFx2, or use these as hidden additional oscillators at high resonance settings. At the end of your chain, the unmatched multi-effect MFX adds classic effects based on legendary studio gear to impart the perfect vibe to all your sounds.

Whip these sources into wiggling shape with an expansive set of CV sequencers and processors in The Turismo. Clicking and clacking its way into musical motives yet unheard, the ASQ-1 sequencer gives you hands on control over two melodic voices and four additional rhythmic trigger tracks, letting you easily create complex sequences via its intuitive user interface. Pam's Pro Workout is ubiquitous in the Eurorack world for a reason, and offers its trademark flexibility in trigger-based sequencing and modulation to keep The Turismo's wheels turning. Quaid Megaslope offers your patches flexible analog sequencing and complex envelope creation, ushering you into creative patch control that's endlessly explorable.

On top of all these fantastic modules, ALM has stacked The Turismo with a fine assortment of utilities to make the most of your patching experience. Seamlessly integrate into your studio or hardware workflow with comprehensive MIDI connectivity, making it fun to experiment with new controllers and effortless to record your modular in a traditional MIDI studio. Mega Milton offers a motherlode of utility circuits with helpful normalizations to keep patching smart and uncluttered. Once you've assembled a group of modulated sounds, mix them with performance ready controls using the Mega-Tang mixer, with headphone and line level outputs to get your sound out to the world.

The Turismo comes with a decksaver to keep these prized modules free of scratches and dust. At a reasonable 84hp, it fits comfortably in many bags and backpacks, ensuring that The Turismo is road-ready. Perfect as a starting place for the modular-curious and equally suited to veteran patchers of all stripes, The Turismo from ALM Busy Circuits is a fantastic system offering a modern and masterful approach to electronic music creation.
