Perfect Circuit's East Coast Expanded system offers a full set of options for multi-voice subtractive synthesis with extra room to expand and explore. Built around the architecture of classic monosynths and modular systems, the East Coast Expanded system is an excellent choice for keyboardists, composers, and studio musicians who want to add beefy, pristine analog tone to their setup.

The East Coast Expanded system offers all of the building blocks of a classic analog synth, with extra facilities for producing layered sounds and polyphonic textures. Featuring three analog oscillators, two analog filters, and four VCAs, there is more than enough to create intricate, dense sounds. The system's core is comprised of two WMD / SSF Spectrum VCOs, one Intellijel Dixie II+ VCO, the fizzy Mutable Instruments Ripples filter, and ultra gooey Moog-like AJH MiniMod Transistor Ladder Filter. The Intellijel Quad VCA acts as four clean VCAs, keeping the pristine sound of the filters and oscillators intact. The XAOC Devices Praga rounds out the typical end of the signal chain: a four channel stereo mixer with voltage control of level and panning for each channel.

Perfect Circuit takes CV generation seriously. As such, we have equipped this system with a powerful set of options for animating your patches. The WMD / SSF ModBox is a dual LFO and sample & hold, excellent for providing a control source for vibrato, FM, AM, PWM, filter FM, and more. Two Make Noise Contours and one Pittsburgh Lifeforms ADSR create envelopes great for use with keyboards and sequencers. We have also included an ALM Busy Circuits Pip Slope for when you need an extra LFO or simple envelope.

Of course, it is important for an "East Coast" instrument to be capable of tonal material. The Malekko Sync + CV/Gate Expander provides extremely flexible MIDI-CV conversion in monophonic and polyphonic formats and even offers direct USB connection for a computer. The Qu-Bit Octone offers intuitive melodic sequencing, and the Intellijel uScale creates quantized voltages out of any CV, allowing creation of generative arpeggios, random melodies, or repeating melodic patterns and harmonies.
