L-1 Noise Gate

Not only is L-1's Noise Gate built from a discrete Blacksea VCA design for optimal performance, but its courtesy envelope output makes it a creative member of your Eurorack modular system. Per typical noise gate operation, the Attack and Release control affect the opening and closing of the gate, while Threshold defines the point at which signals must corss for the gate to open. L-1 implemented their Threshold control with an exponential curve, meaning you have increased sensitivity at lower settings to tune your gate just right. As a bonus, the Envelope output allows you to patch the internal control signal out to other sections of your system, meaning that this Noise Gate has both functional and creative potentials.
