Ieaskul F. Mobenthey Denum
Ieaskul F Mobenthey's Denum is a bounds/bounce oscillator paired with a stereo VCA, unlocking a variety of peculiar oscillations and modulations. For the uninitiated, Bounds/Bounce is a signature dichotomy explored by IFM and CIat-Lonbarde designs. Imagine a ball bouncing between two walls: Bounce is the speed of the ball, and Bounds is the distance between the two walls. On Denum, if you increase Bounce the frequency goes up, but if you change the Bounds the amplitude goes down while the frequency goes up—increasing the rate of bounces as a result of the distance between the walls decreasing.
Unlike some other IFM designs, Denum adjusts and modulates its Bounds and Bounces in both directions, always yielding a triangle waveform at its primary output. The other output is a hot square wave output—mind your ears! Below is a stereo VCA, allowing you to pipe in external signals to mingle with Denum's oscillator. A switch allows you to optionally toggle between linear and exponential VCA responses, changing the characteristics of the sounds that will come out. Spice up your rack with IFM's Denum.
