Evolving the line of their superbly designed and surprisingly affordable studio monitors, Focal presents Alpha 65 EVO. The new incarnation of the revered speaker sports a number of improvements equally applied to both the technology, and the design.

On top of that list are the new Slatefiber cone custom-manufactured by the brand at their Saint-Étienne workshops, an aluminium inverted dome tweeter which is crucial for vastly extending the range of sonic dispersion, and a distortion-reducing large laminar port. A pair of class D amplifiers installed in each monitor ensure flawless performance even at highest volume levels sans any loss in sonic clarity and dynamics. Endowed with three input ports—TRS, XLR, and RCA—the evolved Alpha monitor also has more ways to interface with a variety of equipment. Moreover, the inserts for wall and ceiling fastening make it incredibly flexible to fit any environment.

Improved also are the looks, and the build quality of the speaker. The cabinet, made out of 5/8"-thick MDF, and secured internally with braces is capable of tolerating extremely loud volumes, while the slick round-corner design is not only aesthetically superior, but additionally improves the overall acoustics of the monitor.
