Arturia MicroLab

Inspiration can strike anywhere, and that's why Arturia's MicroLab is the perfect MIDI keyboard companion for music-making on the go. Despite its compact size, MicroLab is packed with two octaves of velocity-sensitive keys, a hold button, pitch bend and mod strips, octave switches, and a recessed cable that wraps around the unit to eliminate cable clutter.

The hold button can be used like a piano's sustain pedal and can either be momentary or latching, while the octave switches allow for transposing the keyboard up or down 4 octaves. The touch-sensitive mod and pitch bend strips allow for increased expressivity and can be assigned to any MIDI CC message. There's also a handy chord function that allows you to play back chords with only one key by programming chords into the memory.

Get started making music right away, as it ships with software instruments including UVI Grand Piano Model D, Analog Lab Lite, and Bitwig Studio 8 Track. The Microlab has low power consumption and can be powered by an iPad or Android Device. Speaking of, it is fully USB/MIDI class compliant and requires no drivers to be installed. And being available in black, blue, and orange, there's a MicroLab flavor for everyone!
