Akai MPX8
Akai MPX8 Sample Player lets users load samples with a standard SD or SDHC card, then assign each one to any of its 8 velocity/pressure-sensitive pads. Boasting powerful technology housed inside a compact but robust enclosure, the MPX8 is ideal for both studio and stage applications.
In terms of connectivity, the MPX8 features a USB MIDI connection as well as standard MIDI I/O jacks. This means it can control virtually anything from software to to external MIDI devices. There’s also a bundled sample kit editor that lets users arrange, tune, and apply reverb to samples before loading them onto the device via simple drag-and-drop operation.Â
