Functionally, Roland's System-500 505 dual VCF module is a combination of a multimode and bandpass filter, a configuration that sets it apart from that of the conventional Ladder filter and lends a fluid bass response combined with uncompromising resonance. Of course, this being eurorack, the module also sports integrated VCAs, switchable outputs, and CV influence over resonance and cutoff.
