Make Noise QXG

The New Universal Synthesizer System grows with QXG, a four-channel vactrol-less lowpass gate derived from Make Noise's years of experience designing such circuits. Though this module foregoes the classic optocoupler component itself, the circuit inside matches the behavior of legacy Make Noise designs but with more consistency and reliability. Depending on your desired effect, a Vactrol button is available to slow down the circuit's response to control voltages—otherwise, a faster precision response handles complex control functions with ease, while still offering the subtle filtering of traditional lowpass gate circuits.M

Each QXG channel features an audio input, a level control, a CV input, and an audio output. Additionally, Stereo outputs with a Xpread control offer an easy way to sum and spatialize signals, plus an auxiliary stereo input allows QXGs or other stereo modules to be cascaded in a distributed mixing fashion. And for maximum NUSS-ing, two QXGs may be chained together with a single PoliMaths through internal connections behind the panel, allowing you to save patch cables for other purposes. Regardless of whether you're invested in the NUSS ecosystem or not, QXG is a handy lowpass gate for patches of all types.
