TLM 193 is a high-quality reference-class condenser microphone from Neumann that features a streamlined switchless design, making it extremely easy to use. In essence, TLM 193 is a stripped-down version of the acclaimed TLM 170R microphone, featuring only a cardioid pick-up pattern. Despite the simplified design, TLM 193 retains the sonic quality, balanced frequency response, and excellent transient behavior of its more feature-packed sibling. It is an excellent choice for small project studios, however, it can also be a great addition to professional large studios and production houses.
