Morphor Echo
Welcome the murkiness of classic BBD delays into your rack with the Morphor Echo, a quad-tap analog delay oozing character and overflowing with functionality. By utilizing a multi-tap structure and employing four individual 4096-stage BBD chips, the Echo boasts a total range of delay times from 10ms to nearly two and a half seconds. You'll find a spectrum of time effects ranging from chorusing to luscious trailing echoes within Echo's capabilities. Delay times may be set with the manual Delay control, via the handy Tap Tempo button, or with an external clock Sync signal. You can even configure the module to accept either 1PPQN or 24PPQN inputs, depending on your synchronization needs.
Patching opportunities abound on Echo. Each delay chip has a discrete output, allowing you to craft custom mixes elsewhere in your system. But Echo can also provide a couple of pre-baked stereo mixes: the dry signal blended with Tap 4, or a rich blend of all taps with the dry. The latter output features three different panning modes—Ping Pong, Traverse, and Chaos—with a variable spread control for widening or narrowing the stereo image. All CV inputs feature attenuators for fine-tuning modulations, while an external feedback input with optional phase inversion allows you to incorporate other modules into your signal processing flow.
With all of the wild delay modules available these days, it can be nice to have a dependable effect with more of a classic sound. The Morphor Echo delivers all of this and more in a comprehensive BBD delay package.
