Make Noise MultiWAVE

The MultiWAVE from Make Noise is an eight-channel dual-wavetable wavetable oscillator designed for the New Universal Synthesizer System (NUSS), bringing a boundary-expanding sound source to any Eurorack system. The A and B oscillators can be blended using the dedicated blend control and CV input; and each can be treated independently via their individual pitch control inputs. Alternatively, oscillator A can "Follow" B, with several selectable "follow modes" optimized for different pitch-tracking techniques.

Both oscillator sections have Wave controls, V/Oct input, and independent Mod Shape settings; additionally, Osc B has a Glide control. MultiWAVE comes preloaded with Make Noise wavetables designed using Make Noise modules, but you can also load in your own waveshapes using the Waveedit format; each wavetable has 64 waves for versatile sound shaping, with space for up to 8 banks of 8 wavetables for endless expression. Like the PoliMATHS, you have a single set of controls to affect all 8 output variations, which can be controlled via the Spread and Span knobs, along with different modes that allow for unique ways to group and trigger the voices.

Modulation is of no concern thanks to the internal MultiMod LFO that offers independent mod depth and shape for each oscillator, working in conjunction with Spread and Modulation Dissemination to create unique soundscapes that shift and evolve in standalone operation. Each channel is activated based on the Span mode: Channel Index gives you an arbitrary order, Round goes sequentially with the option to adjust the channel count, and Parallel activates channels based on clock divisions. Using these versatile modes, you can create polyphonic sequences from monophonic sequencers, greatly expanding the possibilities of sound generation from a single module.

Of course, the most unique part of the MultiWAVE is the NUSS connectors on the back of the module that allow seamless connection to QXG, creating an 8-channel hybrid poly synth. And of course, the outgoing Channel Index control signal and Span input can be used to create linkages with other NUSS modules, providing a powerful platform for polyphonic patching.
