This 4hp module can be used in many ways. This video demonstrates it applied to the feedback path in a delay.
A percussive tone is played into the delay with varying pitch.
The feedback is patched through a tanh[3] channel and mixed with the direct input of the delay.
As the feedback level approaches, and even passes positive feedback, the tanh limiter restricts the amplitude from increasing past a certain threshold.
This limiting can allow for very stable sustaining echo's/delays/reverb effects.
Also demonstrated in the video are the affects of the tanh waveshaping on classic waveforms.
