athrú is the last step in the evolution of Instuō’s wavefolder circuit design. The module’s processing power veers from mild harmonic enhancements to a full-on unapologetic destruction of an audio signal. An implementation of an exponential response VCA with a dedicated depth parameter, as well as a symmetry bias offset provide a great level of control over the input signal dynamics. Finally, the drive toggle lets the user take things up a notch, and subject the incoming signal to an even higher amount of distortion and wavefolding.
